ADSI Moving Systems makes a "Move for Hunger"

Move For Hunger organization to help provide resources to those facing hunger right here in our local community. Move for Hunger is a non-profit organization that mobilizes the relocation industry to fight hunger and reduce food waste. They work with companies across North America to collect unwanted, unopened food from people who are relocating and deliver it to local food banks.  To date, their network has collected over 6,000,000 pounds of food.     Moving forward we will be providing each of our moving clients with information about the program and the option to pack and donate unopened pantry items to our local food bank, Golden Harvest, as opposed to tossing items in the garbage. By providing a system for our customers to lighten their load and make better use of resources they no longer need, or do not wish to transport, we are able to provide meals to those in our community who truly need them. We will work to collect goods and make a bulk donation, on behalf of our customers, once a month. We are very excited about finding a way to provide an extra service to our customers and in turn benefit Golden Harvest and the C.S.R.A.     During the month of April, as a kick off to our partnership, and in conjunction with the Augusta Chronicle’s “Pay it Forward” day, we hosted a food drive to benefit Golden Harvest and donated over 400lbs of food! It was a great way to get our team to rally together around a great cause and make strides to begin fighting against hunger in our community. With summer being a busy season for moving companies across the country, we thought it was the perfect opportunity to capitalize on the increased business to benefit the greater good of our community
