School is back and summer is coming to an end but that doesn’t mean the good times have to end too. There is lots to do in the CSRA this fall, so mark your calendars and make sure to take advantage of all these awesome local events. 

Labor Day Activities

Summer is coming to an end and what better way to say goodbye than with these events happening in Augusta, Georgia.

Hot Air Balloon Festival

September 2-4

You won’t want to miss the annual hot air balloon festival in Callaway Gardens. Bring your whole family to see 30 balloons fill the skyline along with many other activities. This three day event includes a magic balloon glow, biking and hiking trails and plenty of photo opportunities.

It’s a Scavenger Hunt

September 4th

Grab a smartphone and your whole family for a fun filled day of clues and riddles. Download the app, Scavenger Hunt™ and head to a populated area. Race against other teams to take the top spot on the leaderboard. 

Paint Nite: The Original Paint and Sip Party

September 5th

If you are 21 and up grab a friend, significant other, or family member and head over to Ally Katz as they host paint nite. Have fun creating art that you didn’t know was possible.

Arts in The Heart of Augusta 

September 16th – 18th

Celebrate Augusta’s diversity and culture at the award-winning Arts in The Heart of Augusta festival. Stop by and enjoy everything from an arts and crafts market to delicious food from over 20 different countries around the world to a village full of international fare. There’s something for everyone to enjoy, you won’t want to miss it.

Augusta GA’s Fall Wine Festival

October 2nd

Come out and enjoy a day full of wine tastings, live music, food trucks and more at Augusta Ga’s Fall Wine Festival. If you’re ready for a great time, mark your calendars and meet us at Perry’s Landing on October 2nd. 

2022 Georgia-Carolina State Fair

October 14th – 23rd

The famous Georgia-Carolina State Fair is coming back this October! You won’t want to miss out on the entertainment for the whole family. Don’t forget to check out the exhibitions and competitions in between each ride and funnel cake! Gates open 5pm Monday through Thursday and 12pm Saturdays and Sundays.

36th Annual Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee

October 29th – 30th | 10am – 10pm

The Jack-O-Lantern Jubilee is back for their 36th year anniversary in Augusta, Georgia. Bring the whole family and head down to Downtown North Augusta on Georgia Avenue. You won’t want to miss this jam-packed event that includes arts and crafts, a costume contest, amusements rides, inflatables and more.

Palmetto Peach Half Marathon

November 26nd | Half Marathon: 8am, 10k: 8:10am, 5k: 8:15am

Start your half marathon, 10k, or 5k in The Palmetto State and cross the finish line in The Peach State. Enjoy the scenery throughout your run from the start to finish with sights of Charleston-inspired architecture and gentle sounds of the Savannah river. 

Friday Night Football

Football season is back and Augusta’s local high school’s are gearing up for a great season. Come out and support local teams with friends and family for a competitive rivalry. The season is kicking off on August 19th, who will be the first of the teams to reach a record of 1-0?

Sports in Action

September 16th 

Border Bash is back! Kick off your weekend with the Georgia vs. South Carolina rivalry game. Head over to SRP park to celebrate the game with music, cheerleaders and the mascots. This year you’ll be able to test your skills and show team spirit at Fan Fest. Wrap up your night with a firework show! It’ll be fun for the whole family.

September 4th

As the beginning of the football season starts, baseball is coming to an end. Come cheer on the Augusta GreenJackets as they go against the Salem Sox for their last home game of the season.
